Gayà: "We have to prepare for the next game and win again"
José Luis Gayà, returned to the Valencia CF starting XI against Rayo Vallecano after missing the first four games of the season due to suspension, but he was unable to celebrate with a victory. After the match, the captain spoke to VCF MEDIA about what happened at Vallecas.

A tough match
"It wasn't to be. They took the lead very quickly and we couldn't react. It was difficult for us to get into the game. From the 30th minute onwards we began to play better. In the second half we had the chance for Nico to equalise, but it wasn't to be. On the next move, Rayo scored. The team fell apart. We tried at the end but couldn't do it."
Chasing a good dynamic
“The team had been playing well. We had done some very good things in these first four games. Today we weren't able to find the opponents' weak points. We knew it was a difficult ground to play at, but we should have started with more intensity. We shouldn't have taken so many risks playing the ball inside. Their chances were from set pieces and our losses of possession. We leave here hurt because we wanted another victory and it wasn't t be. Now we have to think about Celta and move on."

The next game
“We need the fans. We wanted this victory to give consistency to what we had been doing, to show that we are a solvent team, with intensity. Today we didn't see that from the team. Now we have to prepare for the next game and win again."
